Twilio Integration Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for integrating a Twilio account with your Chatvolt Agent. Once integrated, your agent will be able to send and receive SMS messages through your Twilio phone number.

1. Prerequisites

Before you begin, you will need:

  • A Twilio account.
  • A Twilio phone number with SMS capabilities.

2. Configuration

  1. From the left menu in Chatvolt, select Agents.
  2. Choose the agent you wish to connect to Twilio.
  3. Navigate to the Deploy tab.
  4. Under the Twilio section, select Settings and then Add Twilio Account.

You will need to provide the following information from your Twilio account:

  • Account SID: You can find this on your Twilio account dashboard.
  • Auth Token: Also found on your Twilio account dashboard.
  • Phone Number and SID: This is the SID of the specific phone number you want to use, not the phone number itself. You can find this in the details of the phone number in your Twilio account.

3. Webhook Configuration

Chatvolt will automatically configure the necessary webhook on your Twilio phone number to receive incoming messages. You do not need to perform any manual webhook setup.

By completing these steps, you will have successfully integrated Twilio with Chatvolt, enabling your agent to manage SMS conversations seamlessly.
