You can now assign access profiles to users within your account. This feature allows you to manage permissions and roles for different users, ensuring they have the appropriate level of access to perform their tasks without compromising security.

Available Access Profiles

ADMIN

  • Full Access: Complete access to all features and settings within the account.
  • Permissions: Can view and modify all records, settings, billing information, and API keys.

USER

  • Limited Access: Access to all screens except billing and API keys.
  • Permissions: Can create and modify records but has limitations on deleting items.

SUPPORT

  • Restricted Access: Access only to the Inbox screen.
  • Permissions: Cannot access any records or settings.

How to Assign Access Profiles

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to the Settings section in the Chatvolt dashboard.
  2. Select Team: Click on the “Team” tab.
  3. Assign Profiles: For each user, select the appropriate access profile from the dropdown menu.
    • ADMIN: Assign this profile for full access.
    • USER: Assign this profile for general access with some restrictions.
    • SUPPORT: Assign this profile for support staff with limited access.

Best Practices

  • Least Privilege Principle: Assign the minimum permissions necessary for users to perform their tasks.
  • Regular Reviews: Periodically review access profiles and permissions to ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Audit Logs: Monitor changes to access profiles and user permissions through audit logs.
